Ponderosa Aero Club was formed in 1974 at a little airport on the Boise River called Strawberry Glen. Over thirty five years later, we're bigger and better, with a safety record second to none. We have the largest fleet of well equipped and well maintained aircraft in the state. We have an excellent selection of aircraft, from Cessna 172's and Piper Cherokee Archers, to a Cessna T210 that are available for rental or training at very competitive rates. If you're an economy minded recreational pilot, a back country flyer, or you want a fast and capable cross country machine, we have the plane for you! We train for private pilot, instrument, commercial, flight instructor and we have a very popular back country training course for our members. Our instructors are career instructors with your goals in mind! If flying for a living is your goal, learn to fly with Ponderosa Aero Club and earn your regionally accredited degree through Utah Valley University's Online Global Aviation Degree Program.
